The construction rules behind every image in “Field Work”, the assets it ships, and the type argument. North star: a night shift in a plant: warm dark ground, condensed shouting type, one work-light green.
Construction rules
What makes two images on this page look like siblings. Derived from the shipped artifact; hold any new asset against these.
- Near-square everything (1px radius) — the concept reads welded, not molded.
- Type does the layout: the condensed display fills the column; imagery sits in strict plates.
- Hairlines derive from the ink at 14.5% and 7.5% alpha, never a picked gray.
- One accent: EBS green, and on this dark ground it is text-legal (7.36:1) — the one concept where green speaks.
- Everything else is the warm ink ramp; no blue anywhere (the blue belongs to concept D).
- Night-shift footage and equipment close-ups; grain welcome.
- Imagery is art-directed dark-plant scenes generated for the concept — on-model with the real client photos in subject matter.
- A second accent.
- Rounded corners beyond 1px.
- Lowercase display type.
- Bright daylight imagery — the concept lives at night.

40 manufacturer logos, PNG, embedded twice (wall + ticker), ~1.4 MB. Real logos per HANDOFF — but script-rendered (see Honesty). The EBS wordmark is the real SVG, sampled for the palette. Partner and manufacturer logos are never redrawn.
The art-directed plant imagery was generated for this concept (the prompt-style alt text is the tell), but the generator, prompts and seeds were not recorded during the build, and neither were the video sources. Record them before any client handoff — an asset that cannot be regenerated or re-licensed is a liability in a pitch deliverable.

40Environmental Building Systems represents forty manufacturer lines from two Dakota offices. A paragraph at reading size, long enough to judge the rhythm of the pairing rather than the shapes of its letters.
